‘Gems Rock!’ Night at the Science Museum

Gems Night

On Friday, February 28th, the South Florida Science Center and Aquarium will be hosting a gem and rock themed ‘Night at the Museum’ party for the whole family. Visitors will get the opportunity to look and learn about rare and common rocks from around the world. Attendees will also have the opportunity to buy rocks that they might be interested in adding to their collection.

There will be Amber Soap, Crystal, and Jewelry Making demos; salt and rock painting crafts; face-painting and snow cones; and special presentations by Mr. Why on ‘How Mother Nature Makes Rocks’.

The event will also feature the debut of a new Gem Panning Station on the outdoor scenic trail. This fun soiree will take place from 6:00 to 9:00 PM and regular admission costs will apply.  For more information visit the Science Museum’s event website here.
