Rusty Barge by Summa Beach Finally Removed!

Residents of the Southend who enjoy walking or jogging along Flagler Avenue can rejoice because after 4 months, the massive rusty barge off of the coast of Summa Beach has finally been removed.

The barge was towed away on Wednesday, March 19th, after months of resident’s complaints.

New Green Market in the Southend: Every other Saturday at the Palm Beach Zoo!

The Palm Beach Zoo will is now hosting a Green Market every other Saturday starting on March 8th and ending on June 28th, 2014. Local produce stands, and sustainably harvested items will be available for purchase near the exit gate from 11:00 AM to 5:30 PM every other Saturday. March 21: Food Truck Safari at the Palm Beach Zoo

On Friday, March 21st, from 5:30-9:30 PM, the Palm Beach Zoo will be hosting a ‘Food Truck Safari’. The zoo will be bringing in several food trucks in the evening for guests to enjoy a night at the zoo. March 15th: Save the Florida Panther Day at the Palm Beach Zoo

Saturday, March 15th, is state-wide ‘Save the Florida Panther Day’. To emphasize the importance of saving this critically endangered species, the Palm Beach Zoo will be celebrating with games, crafts, and informative keeper talks to teach guests how they can help in the conservation of our state mammal.
