If you’re looking for a delicious way to observe National Shrimp Scampi Day this Friday, April 29th (and who isn’t), reserve a table at the Southend’s standout Italian restaurant La Sirena.

The eatery’s signature Scampi Marcello, named after chef/owner Marcello Fiorentino, features four jumbo shrimp broiled in the shell and served with a sauce of garlic, mustard, sherry and butter. The dish, one of a menu-full of culinary delights, is the apropos way to celebrate this once-a-year buttery holiday.

The freshly-baked, pre-packed treats ($5 per brownie) lie in wait to satisfy your sweet tooth. Purchase as few as one or as many as the restaurant has prepared- anywhere from 12-40 on a given day.

Want to stock up for future cravings or send a gift to deserving friends? The vegan brownies can also be ordered by the full ($35) or half dozen ($22) on the restaurant’s website. The brownie gift boxes ship for FREE every Wednesday and are made fresh that day.

Are you feeling hot, hot, hot? If so, put your money where your mouth is with Dixie Grill And Bar’s “Dixie Devil Wing Challenge”.

The rules are simple:

  • Six wings tossed in the Restaurant’s own “Dixie Devil” sauce.
  • Must be eaten within four minutes.
  • No drinks or breaks from the table for a total of seven minutes.
  • One napkin provided.

Winners get: A free t-shirt and bragging rights

Losers get: A stack of napkins to wipe away tears and saucey contest remnants.
