This year, in a mere three weeks, the students, parents, and staff of South Olive Elementary have raised over $6,100 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The Society helps children who are fighting the hard battle against Leukemia or lymphoma, two of the trickiest types of cancer to beat.

The school was able to do this with their Pasta for Pennies fundraiser led by Ms. Frutos and Mr. Bleimeyer. Sponsored by Olive Garden, the fundraiser puts coin jars in classrooms during a three-week period and the class with the most donations receive a pasta party from their local Olive Garden. How beautiful to see children helping other children!
